Norwegian to Take First Cruise?

Description : Becoming the first cruise line to depart from Philadelphia in years, Norwegian Cruise Line will call the city home in 2026. Starting on April 16, 2026, the firm will sail from the City of Brotherly Love to Bermuda, Canada, and New England, Norway just stated. The cruise company will begin with seven to nine day sailings to Bermuda on the Norwegian Jewel then add 10 and 11-day trips to Canada and New England in the autumn.

"We remain committed to provide more experiences for our guests to create unforgettable memories, so they can vacation better with us," Norwegian Cruise Line president David J. Herrera said in a statement. "We especially appreciate working with PhilaPort to start cruising in the area, so geometry dash increasing the accessibility to the U.S. Mid-Atlantic region."

The port claims that the firm, which is sailing from the SouthPort Marine Terminal Complex, is the first passenger cruise line to homeport in Philadelphia in years. From Philadelphia, Norwegian intends to cruise until October 17, 2026.

According to Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro's statement, the additional cruises would provide "millions of Pennsylvanians and passengers from across the region... another reason to visit Philadelphia's waterfront."

"With all eyes on Philadelphia as we prepare to host our country’s 250th birthday in 2026, the Port will continue to help support and grow Philadelphia tourism to create economic opportunity for our region, workers, and businesses," Shapiro said.

Renovated in 2022, the Norwegian Jewel can seat 2,330 people, wowing visitors with Le Cirque Bijou acts, a 1950s-themed bar overlooking the pool equipped with vintage automobile components and antique gas station signs, and more.
